Bazar Board celebrates, cancer camp held

Noney, November 07 2021: The 52nd Foundation Day of Longmai Bazar Board, Noney district was celebrated on Sunday at its office premises.

During the event, chronology of the establishment of Longmai Bazar Board was presented by the office bearers followed by a silent prayer in memory of the departed leaders.

The programme was attended by board members, village authority, church and other CSO leaders.

Meanwhile, Noney Battalion Assam Rifles of 22 Sector AR IGARS (E) organised a Cancer Awareness Drive at Mongjorong Khunou village in the district to make the villagers aware about symptoms of tumour.

Noney Battalion medical officer educated the villagers on prevention and early detection of various types of cancers and their roots.

Ihe local population were also made aware about the government health and medical facilities available in India.

The troops of TOB Khongsang briefed the locals on the ill effects of contraband drugs especially tobacco and provided them free health check-up and medicines for minor ailments.
