Ahead of Halo Infinite's release in December, developer 343 Industries is reminding players to consider installing the Halo Waypoint mobile app to stay plugged in.

The Halo Waypoint app received an update in October that gave it a makeover in time for Halo Infinite's release. The app, which is free and available for iOS and Android, will allow players to track their Halo Infinite statistics and customize their characters when the game launches.

For now, the app can be used to read up on the latest Halo news and take a look at player stats for Halo 5: Guardians and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Like the newly updated Halo Waypoint website, the app shows things like how many games you've played, your win/loss record, your kill/death ratio, and your highest rank, among other things.

The app also tracks progression for Halo: MCC's seasonal rewards, so you can find out how close you may be to unlocking a new cosmetic item.

Halo Infinite releases on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The multiplayer element is free-to-play, and the campaign is included with Xbox Game Pass.

Microsoft recently released a new teaser video that shows how Master Chief got his new Grappleshot.
