Imphal, November 07 2021: Naga People's Front, Chandel HQ has clarified that TS Warngam was not a member of NPF, but had contested the last Manipur Legislative Assembly Election in 2017 as an independent candidate and was defeated.

In a statement issued to clarify apropos the press briefing by CM on November 2 regarding reception of few members from Chandel district where TS Warngam was mentioned as an NPF member, NPF Chandel media cell informed that it never "subscribe to fabricate" propaganda in any electoral preparation.

It also mentioned that a One day Political Conference of Chandel Division was held on October 12 at Chandel Christian community hall during which many prominent persons seeking NPF ticket to contest the upcoming polls in Chandel and Tengnoupal ACs as well as ex-ADC members joined the NPF in the presence of its Manipur State Unit president.

Many prominent personalities from both ACs namely TS Beton Anal, TK Moshilpha Maring, Anal Naga Tangpi former president WNG Kohring, ANSAM former president Paulhring Langhu, ADC ex-members MK Noah Chothe, TS Willingson Anal, TH Joy Lamkang, SR Volhring Anal and CH Meshil Maring joined the NPF to support and strengthen the party in the state and for the forthcoming Assembly Elections 2022, it stated.
