The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to release the much-awaited admit card for the term 1 board examination of class 10 and class 12 on November 9. According to the new format, the examination will take place twice a year and according to this, the term 1 examination will be of 90 minutes and will be conducted in the MCQ format.
It is expected that the term 1 examination that will be conducted in the MCQ format is likely to take place from November 16 onwards.
Meanwhile, the term 2 examination will take place in March-April and it will be in the subjective format.
What are the important updates on major and minor subjects?
The students need to note down all these important updates:
- The 50 per cent of the total marks of the examination are dedicated for practicals and internals.
- The examination will take place from 11.30 instead of 10.30.
- The examination will take in the MCQ format.
- The examination will take place for 90 minutes.
- This time, CBSE has kept the reading time 20 minutes, and no0t 15 minutes.
- The students will be provided with separate sheets fror rough work.
- The CBSE will also appoint an observer for every exam centre.
- The examination will be based only 50 per cent of the syllabus.
According to reports, the CBSE Term 1 Board exams for minor subjects will begin from November 17 for Class 10 and November 16 for students of Class 12. CBSE Class 12 has 114 subjects out of which 19 subjects are major subjects and the rest are minor subjects. CBSE Class 10 offers 75 subjects out of which nine are major subjects and the rest are minor subjects.
