Street lamps illuminate Haraorou Sabal

Imphal, November 05 2021: Locals of Haraorou Sabal Leikai on Thursday organised a meeting to felicitate and put up other requests to Arambai Agri and Allied Industries Private Limited chairman and social worker Elangbam Sovid, who is planning to contest the upcoming polls from Khundrakpam AC, after the latter helped in installing street lamps in all roads of the locality.

Speaking during the meeting, Sovid noted with regret that Khundrakpam AC is lagging behind in many aspects.

Although he has been trying to address some of the issues, it is not satisfying enough, he conceded, while terming as disheartening that Haraorou Sabal Leikai was still 'living in darkness'.

As such, he worked together with the local youth to install street lamps in the area.

Sovid then said that if he were to be elected, he wants to address all the backwardness in the AC through various policy programmes.

A local youth named Nongthombam Bipin, also spoke at the meeting and appreciated Sovid for lighting up the locality by installing a total of 26 street lamps.

He then said that locals of Haraorou Sabal Leikai will extend full support to Sovid in the upcoming polls.
