Imphal, November 05 2021: Governor La Ganesan has conveyed his heartiest greetings to the people of Manipur, especially the womenfolk on the auspicious occasion of Ningol Chakkouba festival 2021 which falls on November 6 .
Stating that Ningol Chakkouba strengthens the bond of love and affection and rejuvenates family ties, he added that the festival helps in promoting unity and integrity in society.
He expressed hope for an inter-community celebration of the festival to bring prosperity and peaceful co-existence.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh also extended his Ningol Chakkouba wishes and remarked on the unbreakable bond of love between brothers and sisters.
He stated that this festival promotes harmonious living by reaffirming faith in the traditional values of love and protection.
Speaker Y Khemchand Singh too sent his regards on the joyous occasion and prayed for the womenfolk of the State to be bestowed with unconditional love.
Works Minister Th Biswajit extended his greetings with the hope of unity, peace and bond of love among different communities residing in the State.
Th Satyabrata, Consumer Affairs Minister sent his greetings while commenting on the essence of this festival, stressing on family ties.
Education Minister S Rajen also joined in conveying his greetings and wished for this festival to awaken the spirit of humanity, good health, happiness and creative living.
Awangbow Newmai, Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Change remarked on how Ningol Chakkouba celebration has extended beyond the Meitei community and encompass other communities as well while sending his warmest wishes.
Oinam Lukhoi Singh, Tourism Minister sent his regards with the message of oneness, peace and tranquillity in the State.
Dr Thokchom Meinya, former MP, MLA K Leishiyo, Chairman of Assembly Hill Areas Committee and former Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur Gaikhangam Gangmei also extended their Ningol Chakkouba greetings and urged the people to preserve the wonderful bond between brothers and sisters in celebrating the festival.
Several civil and political organisations of the State have also conveyed their wishes to the people.
Manipur People's Democratic Front, Coalition Against Drugs And Alcohol, Students' Union of Kangleipak, Meetei Council Moreh, Apunba Ireipakki Maheirol Sinpanglup, Indigenous People's Forum Manipur, Manipur People's Democratic Front Women's Wing, Manipur State Committee Democratic Bharatiya Samaj Party and Samata Party Manipur State Committee extended their greetings to the women of Manipur with the arrival of Ningol Chakkouba.
