Ambridge man charged with attempted homicide in Monca
MONACA — An Ambridge man, Marvory Dale Crumb Jr., 32, is charged with attempted criminal homicide based on an incident Friday.
Court papers state at 12:15 a.m., Monaca police were called to a Fourth Street home for reports of shots being fired, with additional callers claiming Crumb fired the shots and left in a gray vehicle.
A stop alert was placed on Crumb, with police finding four discharged 45 caliber gun casings near the scene.
Court papers state Hopewell Township police officers saw Crumb driving away at a high rate of speed and stopped him.
A witness later told police they saw Crumb firing a gun on Fourth Street, with another witness saying they saw Crumb outside on Fourth in his vehicle.
The first witness said their child called and said "we are not safe," stating Crumb had been physically assaulting the child, court papers state.
Officers later viewed surveillance footage and saw a vehicle pull out of Fourth with no lights on and then another vehicle.
The child later told police they were pulling into their parents' house when Crumb pulled in at the same time.
They heard a loud bang, which was reportedly Crumb shooting at them. Officers found three bullet holes in the vehicle, two of them through the driver's door and one through the door in the front passenger seat area, court papers state.
Crumb is also charged with aggravated assault, discharged of a firearm into an occupied structure and reckless endangerment.
He was placed in the Beaver County Jail on a $500,00 monetary bond.
