Imphal, November 05 2021: The Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur organised an event yesterday to conduct free fitting of prosthetic hands to differently abled persons.
As per a press release issued by Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Manipur the individuals who received the free prosthetic hands are Huidrom Bimolata Devi from Wangjing SK Leikai, Thoubal district and Thounaojam Roji Devi from Kongpal, Imphal East.
It may be noted that the event was conducted under the aegis of LN4 Hand Project, San Francisco, USA.
Attendees present at the function included Nimol Ningombam, medical advisor of Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Abled Persons, Karnajit Khoibam, rehabilitation officer and staff of LN4 Hand Project.
The Centre will extend their efforts to rural areas and provide prosthetic hands to the needy, the statement added.
