GTV 2.0 concludes, 7700 people benefitted

Thoubal, November 05 2021: The Go to Village (GTV) 2.0 campaign organised by the state government in Thoubal district from November 2 concluded on Friday.
Around 7700 people in six constituencies of Thoubal district availed benefits from 19 important departments of the state.
Speaking to media persons, Thoubal district deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subash informed that people applied for benefits under various schemes of the government, particularly those related to health and social welfare departments.
Around 403 beneficiaries applied for the Chief Minister's Widow Pension Scheme which was launched on the first day of the campaign by the chief minister.
During the campaign, 336 people were also administered Covid vaccine, collected Rs 1723 as revenue under Lilong Sub division, 191 people applied for idea stage of startup and opened 320 bank accounts, he further informed, while lauding staffers and officials of different departments and local volunteers who helped in organising the campaign.
Peoples' Forum Moijing spokesperson Md Atabuddin said that the Go to Village 2.0 campaign has benefitted the people of Thoubal and lauded the government for taking up such activities at Moijing.
Pointing out that there are numerous people who wanted to get benefits of the campaign but failed because of several reasons, he urged the chief minister and authorities concerned to extend the campaign for at least two more days.
