“All Too Well” is getting the film treatment. In conjunction with the release of her album Red (Taylor’s Version), Taylor Swift has announced that a new short film version of the song starring herself, Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Dylan O’Brien (The Maze Runner) will debut Nov. 12.
The singer-songwriter previewed All Too Well: The Short Film with a 30-second teaser of a car driving down an autumnal back road in the woods. “November 12. Remember it,” she wrote. The clip also revealed that Swift wrote and directed the whole thing.
Since Red was first released back in 2012, “All Too Well” has become one of Swift’s most iconic breakup anthems. While the original song is around five minutes long, the re-recorded album will feature a brand-new, 10-minute version (which will presumably be the center of the short film). Other additional material includes collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, Ed Sheeran, and Chris Stapleton, as well as the single “Ronan.”
Swift is currently in the midst of re-recording her Big Machine albums. In April, she released the Billboard-topping album Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
A day after Red (Taylor’s Version) arrives, the singer-songwriter will perform on the Nov. 13 episode of Saturday Night Live hosted by actor Jonathan Majors. It will mark Swift’s fifth time performing on the NBC sketch series.
