India’s new badminton sensation Lakshya Sen showed smashing form as he upsetted Taiwan’s Tzu Wei Wang. Lakshya’s pace & down the smashes were too hot to handle for the Taiwanese player.
20 year old Indian won the match 21-17, 21-15 and will now play of Netherlands for place in the semifinals

Srikanth started with bang against Lee as he easily won the 1st game 21-9. The Korean came back to win the 2nd 19-21. Srikanth had saved his best for the last game as he hit some scorching down the line smashes to win 21-10
It is worth noting that before the encounter Srikanth had lost to the Korean twice in 3 Head to Head mathces.
Srikanth will now take on 3rd seed NG Ka Long Angus of Taiwan in Quarterfinals on Friday evening.
Sourabh Verma lost to Kantaphon Wangcharoen (THA) 21-13, 21-10
Meanwhile, 36th ranked Sourabh Verma has lost to 11th ranked Kantaphon Wangcharoen of Thailand. Sourabh was no match for the fast moving Thai and lost in straight games to crash out of the tournament.
