The Victorian Racing Club has issued a health alert after two racegoers at the Melbourne Cup tested positive to Covid-19.
10,000 patrons entered the gates for the Melbourne Cup this year.
In a statement on Friday the VRC said a punter and a worker were infected while at Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday.
The two cases are not related to each other and both people were fully vaccinated, the VRC said.
The Victorian Department of Health considers attendees low-risk, but they have said they should monitor for symptoms.

'The VRC is working closely with the Department of Health which has been very supportive of the Club's COVIDSafe Event Plan and management of the two cases and the conduct of the COVIDSafe event of the Melbourne Cup Carnival,' the VRC said in a statement.
'The safety of all patrons, staff, racing participants and horses is the VRC's top priority.'
The VRC told Sky News the contractor worked two full days at The Arbour in the Purple Zone on the ground floor of Club Stand.

Race Day go-ers are considered low risk, but are advised to monitor for symptoms
The Covid-positive patron visited the deck bar in the Green Zone on Cup Day.
The racegoer has been contacted by health officials and their friends who are also double vaccinated have also been contacted.
Patrons who visited the area on race day will be contacted by the VRC via text.
The Arbour and deck bar have both been deep cleaned in preparation for Stakes Day this weekend.
