Patna, Nov 05 (UNI) RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for not expressing sympathetic words for those who died in Hooch tragedy in Gopalganj and West Champaran in the last few days, saying Mr Kumar was apprehensive that liquor mafia

would turn angry if he said few sympathetic words for Hooch tragedy victims.

Mr Prasad tweeted that Chief Minister Mr Kumar and BJP, the ruling partner in his government, had made hell, the lives of the people due to price rise while youth were not getting employment. Even in this pathetic scenario, this government was directly responsible for the deaths of

more than 50 people in Hooch tragedy in Gopalganj and West Champaran district of Bihar, he added.

RJD president lamented over the fact that Mr Kumar did not express a few sympathetic words for those who died in Hooch tragedy. Mr Kumar was fearful that the liquor mafia would turn angry if he said few sympathetic words for Hooch tragedy victims, he alleged.

As it is, a large number of people lost their lives in Gopalganj and West Champaran district during the last few days in the Hooch tragedy.

Mr Prasad who had arrived here from New Delhi for campaigning in by-elections for Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan assembly seats, left for New Delhi on November 3 after his condition deteriorated. He is suffering from multiple disease and has been staying at the residence of his daughter Misa Bharti in New Delhi for treatment after his release on bail in fodder scam.
