Cardi B Agrees To Officiate Kal Penn's Wedding in Heart-Warming Twitter Exchange

Cardi B has offered to officiate actor Kal Penn's upcoming wedding to his fiancé, Josh, days after Penn publicly revealed he's engaged to his long-term partner.

"Up" hitmaker Cardi B, 29, put in her bid to lead proceedings at Penn's nuptials after the House star, 44, told his Twitter followers about a dream he had about her.

On Wednesday, the actor wrote: "Cardi B was on my flight to LA. I fell asleep and had a dream that she officiated our wedding on the plane and the three of us walked out of LAX holding hands."

The post soon came to the attention of Cardi, who replied: "First, why didn't you say hi! Second, I'm licensed to do that sooo........let me know."

"You're the best," Penn wrote back. "Was gonna say hi but didn't want to be disrespectful (your do not disturb light was on). But holy s*** let's do it! We're down if you're down!"

"I'm down I'll get my suit," responded Cardi, real name is Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, bringing their heart-warming Twitter exchange to an end—for now.

Earlier this week, Penn released his new book, You Can't Be Serious, in which he detailed how he met his partner of 11 years while working in former President Barack Obama's administration.

Penn, who worked in the White House's public engagement office for more than two years, told People about his decision to publicly speak about his relationship.

"I've always been very public with everybody I've personally interacted with," said Penn. "Whether it's somebody that I meet at a bar, if Josh and I are out or we're talking to friends. I'm really excited to share our relationship with readers.

"But Josh, my partner, my parents, and my brother, four people who I'm closest to in the family, are fairly quiet. They don't love attention and shy away from the limelight."

Addressing his sexuality, he added: "I discovered my own sexuality relatively late in life compared to many other people. There's no timeline on this stuff. People figure their s*** out at different times in their lives, so I'm glad I did when I did."

The Designated Survivor star wrote about his first date with Josh in his book, recounting how his future husband arrived at his apartment in Washington, D.C., bearing an 18-pack of beer and wanting to watch NASCAR on his TV.

"I thought, 'This obviously is not going to work out," Penn recalled. "I have one day off from the White House and this dude is unironically watching cars go around and make left turns?

"Next thing you know, it's been a couple months and we're watching NASCAR every Sunday. I'm like, 'What is happening?' I wanted the reader to enjoy the love and the humor through all of those stories."

However, as the pair look forward to their future as a married couple, it would appear that conflicting visions of their wedding may have Penn in the winning position, thanks to his exchange with Cardi.

He told People in his recent interview: "Obviously I am engaged to a man and our families will be there for the wedding. The big disagreement now is whether it's a huge wedding or a tiny wedding.

"I want the big ass Indian wedding. Josh, hates attention, [has said], 'Or we could just do quick 20-minute thing with our families and that's it.' So we have to meet halfway in the middle."
