Mia Khalifa shares video of getting Botox injections for her armpits, reveals the reason

Updated : Nov 5, 2021, 17:26 IST

Former porn star and influencer Mia Khalifa is nothing if not honest. She's unabashed, fierce and doesn't believe in living dual lives. Recently, too, she took to her Instagram account, which has 25.8 million followers, then onto her Stories section to make a revelation about her body. She shared pictures and videos of herself getting botox injections in her armpits. Yes, you heard us correctly! Then, she goes on to say, 'Not in my forehead yet, still just in my armpits.' Then she goes on to explain how she has 'hyperhidrosis', a condition which makes one sweat excessively. Furthermore, talking about how taking botox procedures have helped her thus far, since 5 years, to be precise, Khalifa said: 'I've dad hyperhidrosis for about five years - when my anxiety disorder got really bad is when I noticed deodorant just stopped working for me. But because I don't use deodorant - or because deodorant doesn't work for me - what I do is, two or three times a year, I just get Botox in my armpits and it shuts the sweat glands. I live my life, I don't sweat through shirts, I can wear grey. I don't have to worry about stains in the middle of winter when I don't have an excuse to be sweating. So Botox in my armpits changed my life.' This procedure, too, was done by the same surgeon who did her nose job in June 2020 which was done to maintain her 'strong middle eastern nose', while 'just softening it to be more feminine'. Even back then, she straight away took to Instagram after the procedure, not wanting to keep things hidden, shared a picture and bared her soul. Concluding her note, she penned, 'P.S. being transparent about this was never a question. Do not idolize the women you see on social media and base your self worth on comparisons that are unrealistic. If you’ve ever looked at my boobs and wished yours look like that, please remember mine are made out of the same material as the spatula in your kitchen drawer.'
