AMRITSAR: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel held a smuggler while he was trying to retrieve heroin packed in two bottles from the fields situated beyond the border fence in the area of responsibility of 103 battalions in the Ferozpur sector. According to a BSF release issued on Friday, the smuggler was apprehended while he was trying to conceal 2 bottles of heroin in a tractor. The weight of heroin was around 950 grams, said the release. Sources informed that Pakistani smugglers had thrown the two bottles filled with heroin in the Indian territory and had informed their Indian counterparts following which the Indian smuggler had gone beyond the border fence to retrieve the heroin.
