IND beat SCO: After bowling out Scotland for a mere total of 85 runs, India needed to chase down the target in 7.1 overs to surpass Afghanistan in NRR. In reply, Virat Kohli & Co. chased down the target in 6.3 overs with KL Rahul hitting the fastest fifty of the tournament. Ravindra Jadeja and M Shami were the stars with the ball as they returned with 3 wickets each in the victory.
NZ beat NAM: Sent to bat first, New Zealand struggled on a slow Sharjah wicket but Glenn Phillips and Jimmy Neesham added 67 runs in the last four overs to set a 164-run competitive target. Namibia struggled with the chase and kept on losing wickets at regular intervals and in the end could only score 111/7 to bow out of the tournament.
On Thursday, Sri Lanka knocked out West Indies with a 20-run victory in Abu Dhabi on Thursday. Charith Asalanka and Pethum Nissanka powered Sri Lanka to 189 with half-centuries after being asked to bat first. West Indies managed 169/8 despite Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten 80. Australia beat Bangladesh Highlights: In the other match of the day, Australia gave their semi-final hopes a massive boost after they picked up a sensational eight-wicket win over Bangladesh on Thursday. Having skittled out Bangladesh for 73, Australia chased down the total inside seven overs to pick up a huge win, in the context of the semi-final race. The victory boosted Australia’s net run rate, moving them to second in Group 1.

Australia clinched a massive win to put themselves in pole position to make the semi-final from Group 1. Aaron Finch and Co. claimed an eight-wicket win over Bangladesh, chasing down a target of 74 in just 6.2 overs.
