Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan may be out on bail in the Mumbai cruise ship drugs case but the controversy surrounding the case refuses to die down. As per reports, a certain Sam D’Souza, one of the people mentioned in the affidavit submitted by Prabhakar Sail, a witness in the case, has claimed in a TV interview that SRK’s manager Pooja Dadlani had paid money hoping to save Aryan from arrest, but that the money was returned when they realised what they were asking was not possible. A businessman by profession, D'Souza alleges that SRK's manager gave Rs 50 lakh to K P Gosavi, a witness in the case, but after he came to know that Gosavi was a 'cheat', he reportedly asked him to return the money to Pooja Dadlani. In his affidavit, Sail reportedly stated that Gosavi, Dadlani and D’Souza met on October 3. As per reports, this is how the meeting went - A person arrived in a car and handed over Sail two bags, which he took to D’Souza at a five-star hotel. D’Souza reportedly counted the money and said that it was only Rs 38 lakh, the affidavit further stated. Sail then reportedly claimed to have overheard a conversation where Gosavi and the others had been discussing demanding Rs 25 crore, out of which Rs 8 crore was to be paid to NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede, who is currently being investigated by a vigilance team probing extortion charges against him in the same case. While speaking to the TV channel, D'Souza was quoted as saying, 'After much abuse and pressure, we managed to recover Rs 38 lakh from Gosavi, the rest we contributed and paid back to Dadlani and we understood that Gosavi was a cheat.' Aryan Khan, who was arrested on 3 October after a drugs raid on a cruise ship party by the Narcotics Control Bureau, was granted bail by the Bombay High Court on 28 October. He walked out of Mumbai's Arthur road jail on 30 October.
