Congress alleges govt jobs are on sale

PANAJI: Congress on Tuesday hit out at the government for misleading the youth by promising jobs and further alleged that government jobs are on sale.
Congress media cell chairman Amarnath Panjikar accused the government of making false promises of providing 50,000 jobs to the youth in 2012 and also promising unemployment dole.
“All these fake promises have now turned out to be jumlas. The much-hyped projects under the Investment Promotion Board have disappeared in the darkness of BJP’s regime. Jobs are on sale with almost Rs 13 lakh demanded by BJP functionaries for the post of lower division clerk,” Panjikar alleged.
Warning job aspirants not to pay any bribes as these jobs will never become a reality, Panjikar said, “Congress is coming back to power and our government will take stringent action against all those who are recruited illegally. We have formed teams to keep a close watch on the recruitment process in each department.”
“Goa now has the highest unemployment rate, touching nearly 35 percent. This situation has arisen due to the faulty policies of the government. Let the chief minister show guts and reveal data of recruitments done so far,” he said.
He said the government is starting to feel the heat of its mismanagement as youth participating in ‘Swayampurna Yuva’ events showed ignorance of government schemes.
