Govt Hiked DA For Employees of Central Govt, CAB Paid Under 5th & 6th Commissions
The Department of Expenditure (DoE) has revised the dearness allowance for employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies (CAB) who are continuing to draw their pay under the 5th and 6th Central Pay Commission. The rate of DA has been hiked by 12% for employees earning pay under the 5th pay commission.

In an Official Memorandum (O.M) issued on 1st November 2021, DoE has said that "the rate of Dearness Allowance in respect of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies, who are continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/Grade Pay as per 5th Central Pay Commission, would be increased from 356% to 368% of the Basic Pay with effect from 1st July 2021."
The rate of DA has been hiked by 7% for employees earning pay under the 6th pay commission. In another Official Memorandum (O.M) issued on 1st November 2021, DoE has said that "the rate of Dearness Allowance in respect of employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies, who are continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/Grade Pay as per 6th Central Pay Commission, shall be enhanced from the existing rate of 189% to 196% of the Basic Pay with effect from 1st July 2021."
Hence, the above said are the revised rates of Dearness Allowance to the employees of Central Government and Central Autonomous Bodies continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/ Grade pay as per 5th and 6th Central Pay Commission, due from 01.07.2021.
