Ahead of the crucial clash between India and Afghanistan many fans were unhappy with 'mystery spinner' Varun Chakravarthy's inclusion as he could not make much impact against Pakistan and New Zealand.
With many rooting for the experienced Ravichandran Ashwin to be added to the squad, their prayers were surely answered as the spinner was added to the squad. He replaced Chakravarthy who has a niggle.
Ashwin's inclusion meant he will be playing for India after a total of 4 years and 4 months in a T20I. Seeing the man is included in the playing XI, netizens could not contain their happiness.

As for the clash, Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl first in Match No. 33 of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021. Skipper Mohammad Nabi said that in the last game they played in Abu Dhabi, there was a lot of dew, which is why he wanted to chase in this game.
India also brought in Suryakumar Yadav, who returned after recovering from a back injury and replaced Ishan Kishan.
