Yadadri-Bhongir: Gongidi Mahender Reddy, chairperson of the District Cooperative Central Bank (DCCB), said on Wednesday that farmers from the state of Telangana are in a golden period due to the pro-agriculture policy of the TRS government. She said Telangana farmers were prosperous at a time when farmers from other states were experiencing their worst period.
Mahender Reddy, who inaugurated a free veterinary camp at the Kacharam village of Yadagirigutta mandal in the district, said farmers from BJP-controlled states are facing the worst time due to the anti-farming policies of the respective governments. The BJP government at the center has also brought three new farm laws in favor of corporate companies and harmed the interests of the farmers.
He said the TRS government is committed to the well-being of farmers and the protection of their interests in the light of central farm laws, recalling that Rythu Bandhu and uninterrupted power supply to the agricultural sector, a model for the whole land in terms of farmers’ welfare. Improved irrigation facility also improved farmers’ incomes as the highest crop production recorded in the state, he added.
He said Prime Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was working out a plan to avoid any hardship for the farmers in the state under any circumstances.
