Imphal, November 02 2021: Thang-TA Sindam Shanglen, Pukhao Laipham organised a one-day awareness programme on Thang-Ta for Social Change' at Pukhao Laipham community hall on Tuesday, as part of the month-long observance being held since October 16 by Thang-Ta Day Observation Committee under the aegis of Kanglei Indigenous Martial Arts and Cultural Society (KIMACS) .

The programme was attended by KIMACS president and Committee convenor N Ajitkumar, KIMACS vice president B Bilki Sharma and Pukhao Laipham Development Committee general secretary Taorem Manglemjao as presidium members.

Speaking at the event, Manglemjao called upon the young students not to ignore Thang Ta which is the lone indigenous martial art form of the state.

He then urged the students to learn the martial art form to stay healthy, maintain discipline and become decent human beings, while also understanding the unique principles of the art form in detail.
