8th National MTB C'ship : MAAMBA rejoices as State Elite team finish runners up

Imphal, November 02 2021: The Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) has expressed pleasure over the achievements of the State cyclists (Elite Men's) team in the recently concluded 18th National MTB Championship.

In the Nationals held in Pune, Manipur's Elite Men's team produced a stunning performance to finish runners up, said MAAMBA in a press release.

Khariksing Adonis Tangpu shone with two gold medals as he emerged on top in the individual time trial elite event and Men's U-23 XCO competition and went on to win a bronze medal in the Elite men's XCO Mass Start.

Khundrakpam Ronal finished 5th in the U-18 Men's XCO event while Nongthombam Vimchandra finished 11th in the individual elite men's time trial event, it said.

Further, Thokchom Tennyson managed fourth position in the Men's Elite Down Hill event as Moirangthem Goaller finished 12th, the association continued and congratulated all who participated and brought laurels to the State.
