Teri Hatcher opened up about professionally collaborating again with Desperate Housewives costar James Denton for the upcoming Hallmark Channel film A Kiss Before Christmas.
The 56-year-old actress and 58-year-old actor promoted the film in a joint appearance on E! News Wednesday, where Hatcher revealed how the reunion came to be.
'James is the producer of this movie,' Hatcher said. 'And the whole thing started because he called me, and he was like, 'I'm producing this movie. You probably don't want to do it, but would you even consider reading it?'

Hatcher said that 'one of the great things we brought was our history to' the upcoming Hallmark holiday film, as they maintained their professional chemistry from the ABC series, in which Hatcher played Susan Mayer to Denton's Mike Delfino between 2004 and 2012.

'We played this married couple that's been married for a long time, that has teenage kids and it just was natural,' she said. 'We didn't have to do anything because we have this history and it was so great. And since they killed Mike in Desperate Housewives, this was the only way we were gonna get a reunion!'
Denton said that the role in the film opposite his one-time costar had him 'fall back into being Mike Delfino.'

Hatcher said of their chemistry: 'We didn't have to do anything because we have this history and it was so great'
He added: 'My character is much more interesting I hope in this, but I felt like Mike again. And so I kind of fell back into being reserved, quiet. It was weird trying to fight those characters from those years.'
Denton noted the different tone and genre between the projects, saying that 'a Hallmark bedroom scene is much different from a Housewives bedroom scene.'
Hatcher said that she believes the reunion will be a treat for fans of Desperate Housewives.

'I actually just did some ADR yesterday - if people don't know what that is, you have to go voice over your performance if there was like a helicopter or something - so I just did that yesterday and I got to see some of the scenes, and I really always do think about fans,' she said.
She continued: 'They are going to get everything they want. They are going to get the head butting, the warm, gooey stuff. Yeah, they're going to get everything they want.'
A Kiss Before Christmas is set to debut on the Hallmark Channel November 21.
