Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl first against India in Match No 33 of ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021. Skipper Mohammad Nabi said that the last game they played in Abu Dhabi, there was a lot of dew, which is why he wanted to chase in this game.
Team India skipper Virat Kohli said that he would have bowled first as well but he reckoned that it isn't bad against a side like Afghanistan, who like to bat first and then their bowlers come into the equation. Kohli said that there is still a chance and they will look at that chance and try and play positive cricket.
India made a couple of changes as Suryakumar Yadav returned after recovering from the back injury, while off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin will be playing in a white-ball hame for India after four years, who came in place of Varun Chakravarthy.
Afghanistan made just one change as they brought in Sharafuddin Ashraf in place of the now retired Asghar Afghan.
