U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers in Cincinnati recently discovered methamphetamine hidden in two clay holiday figurines in a shipment from Canada.

Officers who X-rayed contents of the shipment, which was bound for a private residence in Auckland, New Zealand, saw inconsistencies in the density of the figurines, according to a news release.

The figurines look like cats with reindeer antlers. They sport jauntily tied scarves around their necks and hold wrapped presents with bows.

Customs said the officers used a drill to make a small hole in each figurine and found white powder that tested positive for methamphetamine, a highly addictive stimulant, inside both of them.

The figurines and methamphetamine weighed a total of just over five pounds.
