Kim Kardashian's Skims partners Italy's Fendi for capsule collection

Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims and Italian luxury fashion house Fendi have collaborated to launch a new capsule collection. The limited-edition collection that brings together signature Fendi style codes and the aesthetic of Skims, features sculpting silhouettes, rich fabrics, bold colours and a special hybrid logo pattern that saturates key styles.

The exclusive Fendi x Skims edit spans clothing, underwear, accessories and more.

“The #FENDIxSKIMS capsule collection unites the aesthetic codes of the respective brands to create a capsule wardrobe for the modern woman,” said Fendi on its Instagram account. “From activewear and beachwear to elevated essentials and coordinating accessories, the #FENDIxSKIMS capsule collection in collaboration with @SKIMS reflects the eclectic tastes and lifestyles of today’s daring and dynamic women.”

“The idea for the collaboration came about when my team and I were sitting around a table at the Fendi studio in Rome. Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn’t know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new Skims collection. It was then that I thought: Let’s do something together,” said Kim Jones, Fendi artistic director of couture and womenswear.

“The innovation in fabrics and fit typical to Skims paired with the luxury and quality of Fendi may feel unexpected to some people, but the similarities between our creative vision and goals are so closely aligned. It’s that tension that excited me. Both Fendi and Skims have a cultural power very different from each other, but equally as strong. We share a desire to push boundaries, think differently and challenge convention which is why we found so much common ground collaborating on this collection together,” said Skims founder Kim Kardashian West.

The limited-edition collection launches on November 9.
