INLD's Abhay Chautala takes lead in Haryana bypolls

Sirsa, Nov 2 (UNI) Counting of votes for Ellenabad bye-election in Sirsa district on Tuesday saw Abhay Chautala of INLD taking the lead after the first round as he got 3,405 votes.

BJP's Gobind Kanda got 2,927 and Congress's Pawan Bainiwal got 2,025 votes as the counting process took off at the Chaudhary Devi Lal University.

Entry of media has been restricted at the counting centre. Apoll official said 256 postal votes have been received.

A three layer security has been installed. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Anish Yadav and Superintendent of Police Arpit Jain are present at the counting center for monitoring.

Hamirpur, Nov 2 (UNI) The department of state taxes and excise collected Rs 328.55 crore in September 2021. The cumulative GST collections in the current financial year till October 2021 stand at Rs 2,431.19 crore against Rs 1,694.04 crore same time last year, according to an official spokesman.
