Abu Dhabi, Nov 2 (UNI) India's batting coach Vikram Rathour has reapplied for the post of Team India's batting coach.
"Going forward, I have already applied for the batting coach's job. If I get that job, there will be a lot of work to be done. We will take it as it goes," he told reporters on the eve of India's group stage encounter against Afghanistan in Abu Dhabi.
Rathour said it has been a great experience to work a motivated Indian tead and skillful players.
However, Rathour's colleagues - bowling and fielding coaches B Arun and R Sridhar - may not reapply for the posts and would exit alongwith Team India head coach Ravi Shastri.
Shastri is ineligible to apply for the post of the head coach because of age restrictions formulated by the BCCI. However, Rahul Dravid, according to sources, is the front-runner to replace the lanky Mumbaikar as the head coach after he reportedly applied for the role.
Soon after the end of the T20 World Cup, a lot of changes in India is expected to take place with Virat Kohli declaring to step down from the role of Team India T20 captain.
As per media reports, Rohit Sharma, his assistant at the current T20 World Cup, is the favourite to take over the post from Kohli.
