Results of MOMA contest declared, prizes distributed

Imphal, November 01 2021: Results of the music video contest organised by Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) on the theme 'Chinjakta Mipal Tangdanaba Organic Farming Hourasi' were declared and the winners presented prizes during a function held at the conference hall of directorate of horticulture & soil conversation, Sanjenthong on Sunday.
The music video contest was organised by MOMA under the aegis of directorate of horticulture & soil conversation and department of agriculture in coordination with Educated and Dedicated and WEDCO.
The prize distribution function was attended by Manipur Development Society chairman Moirangthem Asnikumar as chief guest, MOMA project director K Devdutta Sharma as president and Meira Foods proprietor Hanjabam Shubra Devi as guest of honour.
Bala Mangsatabam's 'Mahousa Lairembi' was adjudged best music video of the contest and bagged first prize of Rs 1 lakh in cash, a citation and a memento.
The best singer prize went to Pinky and Deepu while special jury award was bagged by 'Sinmmini Eikhoi' .
Prize for best music director was secured by Prithviraj and M Bise of 'Mahousa Lairembi' while Khaidem Imo was declared winner of the best lyricist prize.
In his speech, M Asnikumar lauded the role played by MOMA in producing organic foods in the state and said that it is a good step to enhance economy of farmers by exporting organic products of the state to outside including foreign countries.
According to MOMA project director K Devdutta Sharma, the music video contest was organised with the main objective of creating awareness about producing organic foods and enhance income of farmers.
Altogether 18 competitors participated in the contest and the best one will be used for promoting activities of MOMA including in interior areas of the hills.
