Mark Zuckerberg leaves no stone unturned to impress the users with the new features, be it on Facebook, Whatsapp or Instagram. Now, Facebook (now Meta) owned app is working on updating its ‘delete for everyone’ feature. It is reportedly extending its time limit from 4,096 seconds to an indefinite time period.
This ‘delete for everyone’ feature was initially introduced in 2017 and the time limit was only set to seven minutes. And after a few months, the time limit has increased to more than an hour. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp features tracker, the time limit for the ‘delete for everyone’ feature is being increased to an indefinite period based on details found in WhatsApp for Android beta v2.21.23.1, up from the 4,096 seconds time limit introduced in 2018. But there is no information on when this feature will be available.
This feature allows users to delete messages from their WhatsApp personal and group chats. When you delete a message, it is replaced by a notification in the chat window that says ‘This message was deleted’.

Apart from this, it is also rolling out a new feature for iOS users for videos shared from Instagram, YouTube and other such platforms. If reports are to be believed by WABetaInfo, the instant messaging app is coming up with a new playback interface that will allow users to pause, play the video in fullscreen, or close the picture-in-picture window.

Some iOS beta testers on the app’s v2.21.220.15 have reportedly begun to receive this functionality. This was first made available in a beta version for Android devices late last month. Furthermore, according to the tracker, some iOS beta testers may notice a change in the way YouTube videos are played on WhatsApp. These videos will be displayed in fullscreen mode by default.
