Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market falls

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:50AM

Sikko Industries(up 4.95%), Bohra Industries(up 3.09%), ZUARIAGRO(up 1.52%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.28%), National Fertilizer(up 1.18%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 1.14%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries(up 1.05%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.92%), Coromandel International(up 0.48%) and Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 0.39%) were among the top gainers.

Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (down 0.98%), Deepak Fertilizers & Petrochemicals(down 0.67%), Aries Agro(down 0.29%) and Agro Phos(down 0.28%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 29.35 points down at 17900.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 142.95 points at 59995.51 at around 10:50AM.

Maruti Suzuki(up 3.42%), NTPC(up 2.23%), Tata Motors(up 1.48%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 1.45%), Bajaj Auto(up 1.26%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.07%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.02%), Bajaj Finserv(up 0.94%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.91%) and Indian Oil Corporation(up 0.84%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 2.56%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 1.22%), Tech Mahindra(down 1.16%), IndusInd Bank(down 1.01%), Reliance Industries(down 0.95%), UPL Ltd(down 0.74%), Tata Steel(down 0.63%), State Bank of India(down 0.51%), ITC(down 0.51%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 0.48%) were trading in the red.
