Rajinikanth gets discharged from hospital

Superstar Rajinikanth recently had to undergo carotid artery revascularisation surgery. Now, he has returned home after being discharged from the hospital on October 31, giving his fans a sigh of relief.

The actor took to his social media account and shared the happy news with his fans. Rajinikanth shared a picture of himself arriving at home and captioned the image as, “Returned home,” with a folded hands emoji.

The superstar was in New Delhi a few days back where he was to receive the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for his contribution to Indian cinema. Later, the actor had gone to a hospital in Chennai for a routine check-up but had to get admitted on October 28. As per the statement issued by the hospital, Rajinikanth had to undergo a procedure to remove plaque from the inside of the patient’s carotid artery to ensure normal blood flow to the brain. Meanwhile, on the professional front, the actor’s upcoming flick, Annathae is slated for a Diwali release.
