Chd/Jbm/Tml, November 01 2021: 'Chavang-Kut', the autumn post harvest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo community was celebrated with great enthusiasm in various parts of the State on Monday.
CHANDEL
The biggest post-harvest festival of Kuki-Chin-Mizo community, 'Chavang Kut' was celebrated in Khulmi Lentoul, Molnoi Area on Monday.
It was organised by Molnoi Area Chavang Kut Committee 2021 on the theme, "Peace Through Culture".
Benjamin Mate, spokesperson BJP Manipur Pradesh; L Mate, secretary Custom & Culture, KIM; Chanthoi Aimol, former executive member ADC Chandel; Sumsonggir Aimol, intending candidate ADC-Chandel; Momo Aimol, intending candidate ADC-Chandel and R Chaithu Aimol, intending candidate ADC-Chandel attended the programme as presidium members.

During the event conducted with Thokhothang Haokip as 'Kut Pa', various cultural performances of the Kuki-Chin-Mizo community were displayed.
Speaking on the occasion, Thokhothang Haokip extended his warm greetings to the people of the State and wished that the Kut festival may bring peace, harmony and prosperity to all.
Later, 'Miss Kut' was also conducted with Letpao Haokip, YAS Minister as the chief guest.
JIRIBAM
Rani Nemkhotin Veng Youth Club celebrated the biggest post harvest festival, 'Chavang Kut' at Raniveng Ward No 7 in Babupara.
It was attended by YPA Vangai Block advisor, Khaidoukhup Ngaihte; social worker SK Thadou and Assam Regiment retired Captain, Mangboi Gangte as presidium members.
Raniveng Women Society, RYC, YPA, HYA performed various cultural activities at the event.
TAMENGLONG
Chavang Kut was also celebrated at Muktokhal Leisangphai in Tousem Subdivision by the Combined Youth Committee.
It was attended by Paitol Segment ADC Executive Member 10, Hatlhing Doungel, social worker Lalsiemlien Sitlou and VACC chairman Marukhamang Gangmei as presidium members.
As a part of the event, Hatlhing Doungel on behalf of Minister Awangbow Newmai handed over wheelchairs to the differently able persons of Oinam Long and Tatbung.
