The BJP won the bypoll in Sindgi Assembly segment after the counting of votes on November 2.
BJP candidate Ramesh Bhusnur got 74,463 votes against 49,897 for Congress candidate Ashok Managuli after 14 rounds of counting.
However, an official announcement is pending.
JD(S) had fielded Naziya Angadi for the bypoll.

Hangal update
Counting of votes for the by-election to Hangal Assembly segment began as per schedule on November 2.
After the 5th round of counting, Congress candidate Srinivas Mane was leading with 1,320 votes.
Mr. Mane has secured 23,324 votes, BJP candidate and former MLA Shivaraj Sajjanar has 22,024 votes while JD(S) candidate Niyaz Sheikh has secured just 204 votes.
After the 6th round of counting, Mr. Mane had increased his lead over BJP's Shivaraj Sajjanar to 1,498 votes.
After the 8th round of counting, Mr. Mane had increased his lead over BJP's Shivaraj Sajjanar to 4,413 votes.
After the 12th round of counting, Mr. Mane increased his lead over BJP's Shivaraj Sajjanar to 6,818 votes.
Mr. Mane secured 55,665 votes after the 12th round while Mr. Sajjanar had secured 48,847 votes.
