Kaizer Chiefs 0-1 Stellenbosch - MATCH REPORT
Stellenbosch FC claimed a well-deserved 1-0 victory against Kaizer Chiefs following a stunning strike by Ashley Du Preez at the FNB Stadium on Tuesday, ensuring the Cape Winelands outfit hold on to second-place on the DStv Premiership standings.
Golden Arrows 0-0 Swallows FC
Golden Arrows and Swallows could not be separated as they played to a goalless draw in their DStv Premiership clash at the Princess Magogo stadium on Tuesday.
The result sees both teams continue a solid if unspectacular start to their league campaign this season with Arrows playing to their fourth draw already while Swallows have five stalemates.
The KZN club are currently in eight place on the table while Swallows are in a slightly more precocious position this early in the campaign in 12th.
TS Galaxy 2-1 Baroka
Goals from Sinethemba Mngomezulu and Menzi Ndwandwe helped TS Galaxy claimed their first win of the season and moved off the bottom of the table with a 2-1 victory over Baroka FC at Mbombela Stadium on Tuesday.
Evidence Makgopa opened the scoring for the visitors.
Orlando Pirates 2-1 Sekhukhune United
Orlando Pirates produced a superb second-half fightback to come from a goal down and beat Sekhukhune United 2-1 at the Orlando Stadium.
The Buccanneers came into the match desperate for a win, having not tasted league success since beating Chippa United in the middle of September. Sekhukhune, meanwhile, were on a run of three straight victories and eager to claim a major scalp.
A first-half goal for Sekhukhune's Seth Parusnath suggested the Bucs might be in for another frustrating day at the office, but two second-half goals in the space of two minutes from Linda Mntambo and Kabelo Dlamini saw the home side turn the tables and pick up the victory they so desperately needed.
Royal AM 2-1 SuperSport United
Royal AM scored twice in stoppage time as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 victory over 10-man SuperSport United at Chatsworth Stadium on Tuesday.
Matsatsantsa took the lead on the half-hour mark via the in-form Thamsanqa Gabuza, who produced a clinical close-range finish.
The match turned on its head when SuperSport centre-back Luke Fleurs was sent off for a second bookable offence.
It allowed Royal AM back into the game and they did well to capitalise on their numerical advantage but they left it very late. First, Zukile Mkhize's right footed shot from the right side of the six yard box found the bottom right corner in the 90th minute after he was assisted by Cyril Lingwati with a headed pass following a corner.
And then in the third minute of stoppage time, Menzi Masuku played a one-two with Ndumiso Mabena and put the ball into the bottom left corner with the outside of his foot to complete a dramatic turnaround.
