RJD ups the ante for counting of votes in Bihar by-elections

The opposition RJD in Bihar, which has been accusing the ruling NDA of “rigging” elections in the state, has decided to deploy its heavy artillery for counting of votes Tuesday in two assembly constituencies to which by-polls were held last week.According to a release issued by the party, leader of the opposition Tejashwi Yadav will himself be “camping” in Darbhanga district, where results will be announced for the reserved Kusheshwar Asthan seat.

Bypoll: Counting of votes on Tuesday for Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha seat

Counting of votes in the Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha constituency, where byelection was held on October 30, will begin at 8:30 AM on Tuesday.A voter turnout of 75 per cent was recorded in this constituency, reserved for ST, which is a part of the Union Territory of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. The number of registered voters in this constituency is 2.58 lakh, Election Commission officials said on Monday.

MP bypolls: Counting for 1 LS, 3 assembly seats today

The counting of votes for bypolls held in three Assembly constituencies and one Lok Sabha seat in Madhya Pradesh will be held on Tuesday.By-elections in three Assembly constituencies -- Prithvipur, Jobat, Raigon and one Lok Sabha seat -- Khandwa, held on October 30 saw an average of 65 per cent voting.A total of 48 candidates are in fray, however, the fight on all fours seats are mainly between the BJP and the Congress.
