Arsenal look set to be active in the January transfer window as Alexandre Lacazette’s future with the club hangs in the balance.
Lacazette is reportedly ready to refuse any new offer sent his way by the Gunners when his contract expires at the end of the season.
This is despite Mikel Arteta insisting ‘anything is possible’ when it came to the 30-year-old signing a new deal.
Signed for a huge £46.5 million back in 2017, the Frenchman has been left frustrated this season, having only started one game.
So who could replace him?
The first transfer deal the Gunners are looking to secure will be Real Madrid striker Luka Jovic, bringing him in on loan with the option to buy, according to reporter Ekrem Konur.
The 23-year-old Serbian has made six substitute appearances totalling just 60 minutes in LaLiga this season.
The second signature Arsenal will be seeking is Serie A side Torino’s striker Andrea Belotti.
The Italy international is reportedly keen to leave his cuurent club when his contract expires so the Gunners may well be able to nab him on a free transfer.
However, it won’t be an easy task to get Belotti’s signature this January, with Inter Milan and Tottenham also chasing the 27-year-old.
