Punjab & Sind Bank trades higher on turning black in Q2

Punjab & Sind Bank is currently trading at Rs. 18.40, up by 0.25 points or 1.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 18.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 18.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 18.55 and Rs. 18.35 respectively. So far 11024 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 23.79 on 19-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 10.48 on 04-Nov-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 19.15 and Rs. 17.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7456.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 97.07%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.09% and 1.84% respectively.

Punjab & Sind Bank has reported net profit at Rs 218.28 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2021 as compared to net loss of Rs 401.27 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank marginally decreased by 1.50% at Rs 1945.12 crore for Q2FY22 as compared Rs 1974.78 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the July- September quarter of the current fiscal increased to 14.54%, as compared to 14.06% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 3.81% in Q2FY22.
