What does that mean for American Airlines flights at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport?
According to CVG's flight status schedule for Monday, flights are mostly departing and arriving on time.
There have been a few delays as of 7:30 a.m.: An American Airlines heading to Austin will depart at 8:07 a.m. instead of the planned 6:30 a.m. Another American flight heading to Charlotte departed at 7 a.m. instead of the planned 6:32 a.m.
Two departing flights have been canceled, although neither are from American Airlines: A 9 a.m. Delta flight to Minneapolis and a 10:30 a.m. United flight to Newark.
Arrivals to CVG from American Airlines flights are still planned to land mostly on time.
According to a letter to staff shared with USA TODAY, the airline said the cancellations were caused by two days of severe winds in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Most of the customers impacted by the cancellations were rebooked the same day, according to the airline.
American also noted that it would have more staff available in the coming days, with nearly 1,800 flight attendants returning from leave starting Nov. 1 and more than 600 new hires by the end of December. Another 4,000 new workers are expected to join between October and December.
