Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: SAIL(Rs. 2548.78 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 2534.13 crore), RIL(Rs. 1802.99 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1653.95 crore), HDFC(Rs. 1426.13 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1315.55 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1309.25 crore), IndusInd Bank(Rs. 1276.00 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 1218.28 crore) and SBI(Rs. 1053.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 258.0 points up at 17929.65, while BSE Sensex rose 831.53 points to 60138.46.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 7.80 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.99 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 3.97 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 3.96 per cent) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 3.95 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, UPL Ltd.(down 2.72 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.43 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.06 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
