Delhi logs 34 Covid-19 cases, zero death in a day
The national capital on Tuesday reported 34 cases of Covid-19 and zero death in a day while the positivity rate stood at 0.07 per cent, according to data shared by the health department.
Five people were apprehended and 506 kgs of firecrackers recovered from their possessions by West District Police, says Delhi Police. (ANI)

Delhi govt approves fund for installing 500 high-mast tricolours
The Delhi government has approved a fund of over Rs 104 crore for installing 35-metre-high-mast tricolours at 500 locations across the city, according to an official document.

Delhi logs nearly 1,200 dengue cases in Oct, highest for the month in 4 years
Over 1,530 cases of dengue have been reported in Delhi this year so far, of which nearly 1,200 were recorded in October alone, the highest count for the month in the last four years, official data showed.
381 pedestrian casualties in Delhi so far this year, just a slight dip
More than 40% of the deaths that took place on Delhi roads this year have been of pedestrians. The numbers have only marginally dipped over the last three years. According to road safety experts, the high percentage of pedestrian casualties is due to the absence of continuous footpaths on most arteries in the capital. According to police, most deaths occur at unmarked crossings or roads adjacent to pavements. Read more
Mission to keep beggars off Delhi streets
With an aim to make the city begging-free, Delhi government has started training beggars in two batches of 25 each so that they can make a new beginning. They are being trained in painting walls and several unskilled work so that they can become suitable for blue-collar jobs. Read more

Three Ghaziabad centres to hold vaccination drive at night too
Three centres have been selected in the district to conduct the vaccination drive from the morning till 8pm. In an attempt to speed up the inoculation process, the district implemented cluster model 2.0 on Monday and under it, vaccination drives will now be conducted in two shifts, from 9am to 8pm, at MMG District Hospital, District Combined Hospital and Santosh Hospital. The model was announced by the UP government a week back. Apart from this, vaccines will also be available at about 250 sites across the district. Usually, the centres are open from 9am to 6pm.
