Inspired by comic book superheroes and pop art icon Roy Lichtenstein, Nike have released the latest Premier League winter ball.

But in an era of under soil heating, is a garishly yellow ball really necessary? Or should fans appreciate the detailed superhero-inspired theme dedicated to football’s heroic figures?
