PM Modi leaves for Glasgow to attend COP26

Rome/New Delhi, Oct 31 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday departed from the Italian capital for Glasgow, UK, to participate in the COP26 Summit, after a productive three days of diplomacy during the 16th G20 Summit.
Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Arindam Bagchi in a tweet posted:
“PM @narendramodi emplanes for Glasgow, after a productive three days of high-powered diplomacy in Rome.”
Earlier, the Prime Minister in a tweet said he was leaving for Glasgow after a fruitful 16th G20 summit.
“’Leaving for Glasgow after a fruitful @g20org Summit in Rome. During the Summit, we were able to have elaborate deliberations on issues of global importance such as fighting the pandemic, improving health infrastructure, boosting economic cooperation and furthering innovation.”The Prime Minister arrived in Rome on October 29 and attended two days of G20 Summit sessions, on Saturday and Sunday. He also held several bilateral meetings on the sidelines, as well as a meeting with Pope Francis at the Vatican.
