Mainland China smartphone shipments fall 5% to nearly 79 million units in Q3

Smartphone shipments declined by 5 percent year-on-year in Mainland China to 78.8 million units in the third quarter of 2021, according to a report from Canalys. Market leader vivo solidified its position, shipping 18.3 million units for a 23 percent share. The report further shows that Oppo , which has now merged with OnePlus, maintained its second place with 16.5 million shipments, while Honor entered the top three for the first time, with its market share increasing from 9 percent in the second quarter to 18 percent in the third quarter.
