BYD e6 electric MPV launched at Rs. 29.15 lakh

The BYD e6 electric MPV will be available for the B2B segment in select cities.

China-based BYD has launched its e6 electric MPV in India. The car is priced at Rs. 29.15 lakh (ex-showroom). A 7 kW charger which costs Rs. 45,000 is available as an option.

The BYD e6 uses a 71.7 kWh Blade Battery that is said to offer a maximum range of 520 km (WLTC cycle). The battery powers a 70 kWh electric motor that has a torque rating of 180 Nm. The car can reach a top speed of 130 km/h.

The e6 MPV supports AC and DC fast charging. The company claims that the battery can be recharged from 30% to 80% within 35 minutes using a DC fast charger.

The e6 comes with features such as a touchscreen infotainment system, 6-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats and leather upholstery.

The e6 is being offered with 3 years / 1,25,000 km warranty. The warranty for the battery and traction motor is 8 years / 5,00,000 km and 8 years / 1,50,000 km respectively.

The BYD e6 electric MPV will be available for the B2B segment in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Ahmedabad, Kochi, and Chennai.
