Pennsylvania Walmart Shopper Charged With Hitting Woman in Head With Chicken

A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with attacking a woman with a "cold chicken" while shopping at a Walmart Supercenter.

On Monday, 20-year-old Tahonee Fickes was arrested, accused of striking 52-year-old Kimberly Pittman with the food item. The incident took place October 7, but police have now filed charges against Fickes, which includes harassment-physical contact.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the chicken "struck [Pittman] in the back of her head," but they don't know what prompted the attack. The women are not related, nor work at Walmart.

Fickes has a number of previous criminal infractions, which include being convicted for producing a forged check in 2020 and child endangerment in October 2021. While she was placed on probation for nine months and ordered to perform 50 hours of community service for the forged check, she was arrested and scheduled to be arraigned November 29 for the child endangerment charge.

Recently, there have been a string of bizarre incidents regarding food.

On October 29, a 69-year-old bicyclist in Edgewater, Illinois, was punched in the head by one man, then run over by another in a dispute over littering of fast-food packaging, according to police.

The bicyclist was rushed to Illinois Masonic Hospital where he gave authorities his account of the incident, police said. According to WBBM-TV, although the man's helmet was severely crushed, the safety mechanism is being credited with saving his life.

On October 25, a Florida woman was arrested, accused of hitting a Kentucky Fried Chicken worker in the neck after a dispute over customer service.

According to St. Petersburg police, 23-year-old Alexandra Maldonado walked up to the drive-through window, reached in, and struck the 16-year-old victim, "causing a visible red mark."

"The crime was captured on surveillance video," according to Maldonado's arrest record.

Maldonado was released from custody after posting a $15,000 bond.

On October 19, a Florida man was arrested, accused of attempting to rob a local Waffle House with finger guns and stealing napkins from the local restaurant.

Madison County Sheriff's Office stated that 28-year-old Eward William Rodriguez of Madison faced charges of unarmed robbery and assault after trying to rob the restaurant while under the influence of drugs and alcohol.

Shortly afterward, Madison County deputies caught up with Rodriguez at home where he confessed to robbing the restaurant of its napkins, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Office.
