Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra discontinued in India, new flagship expected next year

01 November 2021 0

Xiaomi has reportedly discontinued Mi 11 Ultra smartphone in India. The report is coming from India Today, an Indian publication, that claims that the company has run through the imported stock. It does not have plans to import units anymore which essentially means the end of the lifecycle for the smartphone in the country.

The Mi 11 Ultra is a pure Android flagship that was unveiled in India about seven months ago. Xiaomi had made it clear at the time of the release that the phone would be available in a limited quantity. It actually took three months for the company to put the flagship on shelves after announcing it at an event. These are the reasons if you are someone from India, you will find it difficult to see someone using the Mi 11 Ultra around you.

The latest development means that if you were looking forward to grabbing a Mi 11 Ultra, you will have to be lucky enough to find stock at some offline store. The only other option is to get it imported from China. As for what is next, there are speculations that Xiaomi may release a new Android flagship for Indian users next year. These are only rumors for the time being with no official confirmation or concrete proof to back the claim.
