Cars stolen from Delhi recovered in state

Imphal, October 31 2021: A special team of Delhi police along with assistance from Manipur Police recovered over 10 luxury cars, which were stolen from Delhi, from different parts of the state.

A police source said that the Delhi police team arrived here on October 24 on receipt of information about stolen cars being sold in the state.

During their investigation, the police recovered four cars including Fortuner and Creta from Kwakta in Bishnupur district.

Later, they recovered several cars from different parts of the state including Imphal West district.

Most of the cars were found to have changed their registration numbers into that of the state and their chassis numbers tampered with, the source said.
